Who We Are

North Central Insulation, a respected name in the commercial roofing and insulation industry since 1969, is a third-generation family-owned and operated business with a rich history rooted in craftsmanship, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Our journey began with Jim Hagen, the founder, who established Hagen Decorators Inc. in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in 1959. Under Jim's leadership, the company flourished, eventually incorporating in 1968 and venturing into the world of commercial urethane spray foam roofing systems in 1969, pioneering the application of this cutting-edge technology.

Driven by a commitment to excellence and fueled by the ambition to be at the forefront of the industry, North Central Insulation, as a division of Hagen Decorators Inc., continued to evolve. In 1972, we earned the distinction of becoming a qualified applicator for the renowned General Electric Silicone Roofing System, a testament to our dedication to quality and precision. Since then, we have expanded our expertise to become trusted and qualified applicators for a vast array of leading foam, coating, and cellulose manufacturers.

Our Team

For over five decades, North Central Insulation has been guided by the vision and expertise of the Hagen family. Tom Hagen, the company's current president, joined the business in 1979 following his graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He started alongside his father and brothers, acquiring invaluable experience in the field. In 1995, Tom took on the role of president, formally stepping into leadership. By 1998, he had successfully purchased the company from his father and brothers, carrying on the family legacy.

Matt Hagen, the third generation of the family, joined the company in 2007, immersing himself in both field operations and office management. Working closely alongside his father, he received firsthand instruction and gained a comprehensive understanding of the business. In 2021, Matt officially assumed ownership, continuing the tradition of excellence while embracing innovation and future growth.
