Questions
How long should my roof last in Chicago?
With proper installation and maintenance, a Chicago roof typically lasts 20–25 years. Factors like weather exposure and material quality affect longevity.
Can I repair my own roof safely?
Professional repairs are recommended to maintain warranties and safety. DIY attempts risk injury or improper fixes that void manufacturer guarantees.
Should I replace gutters during a roof upgrade?
Yes. New gutters improve drainage, prevent water damage, and enhance curb appeal. We install galvanized steel, copper, or aluminum systems.
Do I need an ice and water shield?
This underlayment protects vulnerable roof areas from ice dams and leaks, extending roof lifespan. Customers report improved performance in winter months.
How do I prepare for roofing installation?
Clear driveways of vehicles, secure loose indoor items, and allow our crew to stage materials safely. Expect debris removal and cleanup post-installation.
