Our founder, Abram Szwajger, envisioned bringing European craftsmanship and individualized service to clients in Chicago, a vision that has been passed down to a third generation of family ownership, run by daughter Yolanda Schachter and grandson, Lyle Schachter.

Our Expertise

With expertise in both residential and commercial construction industries, we bring a vast array of knowledge, experience, hands-on craftsmanship, and a strong reputation of quality to each jobsite. Our team, led by Senior Supervisor Jan Malek, has years of experience in construction, ensuring that every project is managed with precision and care. Jan, born in Poland, started in construction at a young age and learned the trade alongside his father in a brick factory. He continued his education in technical school, applying his knowledge to his first construction project - building his first home in Poland at the age of 19. Jan joined Alco Construction Co. in 1984 and has since brought his expertise to every project under his supervision.
